We met the Loten family who arrived late afternoon from Beijing. Fontana took us all to a large Walmart-like supermarket (Carrefour) for drinks and snacks. The store was filled with shoppers. For dinner we joined up with the Lotens for some delicious dumplings (Jiao zi) filled with egg and tomato, pork, and fish, and to Jane's surprise when we returned, the hotel had left a lovely fruit and cream birthday cake in our room.
The Lotens are getting ready to meet their daughter Alice, and we are getting to bed early tonight so that we are well-rested to meet Quinn tomorrow at 10am. We are all very excited about welcoming Quinn into our family, and the girls are looking forward to playing with him. What a birthday present!!
See you tomorrow when we officially become a party of 5.

Hi Ottman family: We have been enjoying the blog. I especially love seeing pictures of Flat Stanley as my class is doing a similar project and they will get a kick out of seeing the photos of Stanley in China.
You are missing TONS of snowy weather in Ontario so it's a good time to be away. I wish I was too!
Looking forward to seeing photos of Quinn tomorrow. It will be a good break from typing report cards to see his cute face! Hoping things go well!

Happy Birthday Jane! I was looking for familiar sights from the pictures you have posted to figure out which part of Wuhan you are at and it was impossible. It is 11:30 PM here in Canada and Quinn should have been with his family by now. With the help of two big sisters, I am sure the transition has been going smoothly for you all. Looking forward seeing more exciting pictures tomorrow.
All the best
Sherry Ma
